# Connect your data for cloud usage report enrichment | Connect your data guides

How to give Greenpixie access to enrich your usage data.

Once you have your cloud usage data exported to storage you own, following [Getting your cloud usage data](/guides/cloud-usage-data), the next step is to connect it.

This guide applies if you have Greenpixie's managed cloud usage report enrichment service enabled. If you are enriching your own data through the API instead, you do not need to connect anything. See [Getting started with the Greenpixie API](/guides/getting-started-api).

## What Greenpixie needs access to [#what-greenpixie-needs-access-to]

Greenpixie reads and writes within the storage you own. Specifically, Greenpixie needs to:

* **Read** the raw usage data you export to the `input` folder.
* **Write** the enriched file back to the `output` folder.

## Columns to include [#columns-to-include]

Send the full export as your provider produces it, the same complete set described in [Getting your cloud usage data](/guides/cloud-usage-data). There is no need to trim columns down.

Greenpixie does not need any cost or spend data on any cloud provider, so you can remove those columns before sharing.

## Multi-cloud setups [#multi-cloud-setups]

If your estate spans more than one cloud, we recommend consolidating everything into a single storage location, for example all three clouds' data in one S3 bucket. The [Greenpixie directory structure](/reference/cur-enrichment/format-and-structure#directory-structure) already partitions by `<platform>`, so each cloud's data is in its own folder within the same bucket.

Greenpixie can read from and write to any of the three clouds, in any combination, so consolidating into one location is optional. Input and output do not need to be on the same platform. You could deliver your data in Azure Blob Storage and have Greenpixie write the enriched output to Google Cloud Storage, for example.

## Platform guides [#platform-guides]

- [Connect Amazon S3](https://greenpixie.com/docs/guides/connect-data/aws): Grant Greenpixie access to an S3 bucket through a bucket policy.
- [Connect Azure Blob Storage](https://greenpixie.com/docs/guides/connect-data/azure): Grant Greenpixie access to a storage account and container through a Local App Registration.
- [Connect Google Cloud Storage](https://greenpixie.com/docs/guides/connect-data/gcp): Grant Greenpixie access to a GCS bucket through a Service Account.

## Next steps [#next-steps]

Once the connection is live, Greenpixie reads from `input`, enriches, and writes the result to `output`.

- [Enrichment schedule and data availability](https://greenpixie.com/docs/reference/cur-enrichment/schedule-and-data-availability): When each run happens and when the enriched output appears.
- [Enriched output format](https://greenpixie.com/docs/reference/cur-enrichment/output-format): The columns, format and location of your enriched output.
